Exhibitions
During my time at the University of Staffordshire, I was lucky enough to be a participant in their end-of-year exhibition from 2023 to 2025.

In 2023 i submitted a drawings that explores concepts of memories and anxiety. In 2023, I submitted a drawing that delves into the interplay between memories and anxiety. I explored how anxiety can distort our interpretation of moments, obscuring reality or drawing our attention to less significant details. This reflection emphasises the unpredictable nature of anxiety and how it can cause us to become entangled in our thoughts or memories.

This was part of the exhibition titled, 'Ominia'.
Through this series of works, I want to explore the theme of connection and how individuals react to moments in time. With the consideration of perspective, I will try to highlight that each experience can be individual to their own and can not be understood by the people around as they have viewed it differently or not at all.

This was part of the exhibition titled, 'The Body is a Vessel'
This exhibitions explores the idea that the body can be used to experience, understand and perceive the world in many different ways. We can use our bodies to reflect on current and past memories, impacting how we perceive things due to how positive or negative the memory may be. Through this exhibition, we understand the impact that they can have on ourselves or the world around us.
My Artists statement from this exhibt
Through portraiture, there are ideas of exploring psychological elements through themes of memory and mental health. The portraits have a sense of ambiguity due to the connection with mental health; it is different for each individual. Furthermore, the artwork lacks detail in some areas and is more defined in others linking to the ideas of memory and how we preserve them. The lack of detail across the work demonstrates an impossibility of remembering accurately, which can also cause a misinterpretation of the memory, linking to the idea of Ambiguity. The artwork is more of a melancholic feel which ties in with mental health and the negative impact that comes along with it. I intend the work to show one way someone can remember things and how the memory can cause the way we once saw it; the lack of clarity can leave someone confused, which can negatively affect someone's mental health. The work has been placed in this area because it shows how isolating and lonely dealing with mental health can be.
